Bones Brigade Documentary
The new bone brigade documentary is by far the best side of each skater on the team. Really hitting home with everything making you feel their passion. The team consist of Tony Hawk, Rodney Mullen, Steve Caballero, Tommy Guerrero, Mike McGill, and Lance Mountain. The documentary also includes the two creators of the team Stacy Peralta and George Powell. It really goes deep into all their sides of skating an how it effected their lives daily.
The story pretty much starts off where Lords of Dogtown left off in Stacy Peraltas eyes with him branching off and starting Powell-Peralta. It goes into detail how Stacy picked out the team at such a young age also why they stuck out more then other kids in contest. Really shows how much heart an soul Stacy had into these kids and skating. Also how he molded them into the legends that are today still impacting the industry with their companies or tricks they created. Stacy brought a team together that almost couldn't lose a contest.
The Parts of the story that really hit home for me were Rodney Mullens part of the story also the passion within all their hearts for skating an also when the team had to go their separate ways. Rodney Mullens part really hit home because all he really had was skateboarding to express his inner self witch push this new wave of style into skateboarding. His dad didn't want him to skate when he was younger he thought he wasn't going to go anywhere in life. After his dad seen how not skating effected him causing him to fail school an becoming depressed. This is when Rodney started winning every contest he entered making everyone drop their jaws with his style. He has a very deep inner passion that he expressed threw the board creating new tricks all the time. Rodney would wake up at 5am to go skate before every demo well the team slept, he would get back to the hotel well everyone is waking up an he would already have two new tricks learned. Then go into the demo use them an instantly win with moves no one has ever seen making him a legend of flat ground. Throughout the whole documentary it is a tear jerker you can see all the passion come out within each of them for how amazing those times an everything has been for them an their boards. You can tell when the topic of what happened when the team broke up everyone left a piece of themselves with that team an logo. None of them were ready to split up the amazing movement they had but it was something that had to happen.
